Happy New Year to everyone. Thank you to those who have supported this endeavour. I have lots of plans this year to move the blog forward. There will be audio examples for all posts, as well as scores and some educational material on voicings and other harmonic interests. I will also continue the series of posts on arrangement and re-harmonization ideas.
For now, here is my latest work. If I were a Bell is another of my favourite standards. It is a beautiful song in every sense. Here is my initial reworking. As always it may go through some changes as it is played and rehearsed. I have also posted a link to the audio. Here I am playing both Alto sax and piano.
