Solar

Solar is one of those great standards that almost everyone loves to blow over. Here I've opened the piece up even more, and made it into a 12/8 feel. Quarter note BPM will be around 110. Have tried this in the band setting in the last weeks, and it works surprisingly well. Despite the rhythmic change I feel much of the original feel still stays - I think this is partly because the chords are free flowing and allow extended improvisation. Structurally one can experiment with the intro. It could be used between solos. The outro is marked by the Coda.
