This arrangement came about in rather unusual circumstances. A few years ago I did a show which came under some licensing issues. In order to avoid problems, we wrote our own versions of the standards we wanted to play. We altered the melodies and did some re-harmonizations.
This was one of the better ones that came out of that session. In bar 13-14 the melody has been altered, but other than that it is the same as the original. I have added an intro which is also played between choruses. The intro can also be played in 7/8, or in the original 4/4. Stylistically it works best as an open 8ths feel or Bossa Nova.
