This is my first reworking of the tune since the first draft. As so often happens, once you leave a work to sit and come back to it, you quickly find things you'd like to change. There were really some jagged edges that needed looking at. The voice leading was not as smooth as I would have liked. Bar 9 of the melody is now G-/Bb so that the left hand of the piano outlines, G in bar 7-8, G- in bar 9-10 and keeps G- for the EbMaj7 in bar 11-12.
One of the key elements in re-harmonization is consistency. You have to be really careful how and when you introduce a chord - especially if it stands out. Sometimes you find a great sound for a chord, but if it is not introduced properly it can sound really out of place.
The B-7 in the 3rd and 4th bars of the B is to be played in the solo only. The melody is F so won't work on the head.
