Body and Soul - Update

It didn't take long to rework this one. Some days are just like that. Once I identified the points that were not, working it came naturally. Have a look at yesterdays post to see the changes.

In short, the pedal point at the beginning was changed to Ab, the V of Db rather than the V of Eb as it was. The Bb was causing and unstable feel. The -b6 chords were smoothed out by adding a chromatic descent. The bridge is the same as before. I've reworked the intro too. It reflects the beginning of the piece now with the pedal point.

Lastly I've started playing it with a 16ths subdivision, rather than the double time feel. It works really well and gives the piece a nice forward momentum. The 16ths allow you to move through the music at various paces.

I will leave the previous version up. I feel it is quite instructive. It is a good illustration of how to identify problem areas in an arrangement and how to take positive action. Of course, this latest work will need time also and will surely go through some revisions. Will post them here too.
