About this Blog - Terms of Use

I have been composing and re-arranging jazz standards for the last 20 years. Of all the wonderful things that I do in music, including, performance, composition and teaching, this is probably the one closest to me. It allows me to connect to the original songs that I know and love, yet put my own unique voice into them.

This is a life long, and on going process. One that takes years of practice, polish, research and listening to get better at. My pieces have evolved over time, thanks to the people I have played with and listened to. Not to mention my own life experiences.

Hopefully you will find these pieces useful, and provide a new insight into compositions that have been performed for many years, by many great artists. If you do, please make sure to credit my work and send me a mail - and hopefully a recording along with it so that I can continue to grow and learn. Of course if you feel to go further, other forms of support are most welcome.

The pieces here are not complete. There are lead sheets and recordings for all of these, so if you want more details on how to perform them, do drop me a mail and I can fill you in with the relevant details. I am very specific when it comes to certain voicings, and ways of playing the chords, and in some cases the melodies have been changed. These are quite necessary to perform or practice the pieces at their best. I am happy to share this information through audio, pdf scores and other material.
